. . . what? "you've never heard of him!?!"
That's what I said to all of my elementary friends after asking them if they were excited for the "Valentine Boy" to come to their house that evening.
I later learned that apparently, the Valentine Boy was a tradition made sometime back by my Mother's side of the family. My husband thinks it's silly...but I think it's a wonderful idea! Especially for all of the children/teenagers who grew up never having a "significant other" who praised them with gifts on this special day...(that might have been me :)
I can't wait to see what the Valentine Boy brings me in just a couple of short weeks!...(Hint Hint)
Happy Friday!

What a fun idea! My parents would always leave us Valentine's treats by our place at the kitchen table. I love little things like that!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to say, I cracked up the first time your mom told me about the Valentine Boy. Now that Chalynn is the only one home I wish I'd started doing this. Wonder how hard it would be to convince her this kids just showed up after all these years.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteCute, love that picture!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this idea - everyone deserves some sweetness on Valentine's Day!
