Happy Friday!

I grew up in the Seattle area so seeing snow (instead of rain) was always exciting! I only remember it snowing maybe once or twice a year and when it did everyone went crazy. Nobody knew how to drive in it, school was always delayed or canceled, and I remember my mom being so scared she wouldn't let me leave the house to hang out with friends (even if there was less then an inch of snow on the roads).

Every year I would wish for a white Christmas but I don't remember it ever happening...sad right? Luckily my parents would usually take the family up to the mountains to go sledding at least once a year.

My husband has come to despise the snow (after living in a town where the snow would stick around for 5 months out of the year) but I still love it!

How about you? are you a snow lover or a snow hater?

Happy Friday!

  1. Snow lover! You realize, living in WA when it snows isn't like living in typically "snowy" places. Schools close in a couple inches and parents freak when their kids are out in it because we have wet slippery snow, and live in a very steep, hilly state. People who drive here from "snowy" places THINK they can drive in our snow like they do in there flat state with their dry, cold snow, (so they drive like crazy people). Totally not the same.

  4. Snow days were the best growing up in the PNW. total chaos. cars abandoned at the bottom of every hill, and every hill prime for sledding.

  6. bleh, the one year i lived in Rexburg it hardly snowed, but the snow that WAS there never melted. It was this big dry hard snow/ice that was there FOREVER. I can see why Abe would hate it after living there, haha.
