Dressing for the Holidays

I recently came across a few lovely clothing pieces that I was wishing could make their way into my closet. I've actually never been one to dress up around the holidays, but it's never too late to start, right?

Ok, I know what your thinking, ("but none of these are maternity") Sadly, my rapidly growing belly will be keeping me away from making any purchases this year, but I'm saving this inspiration, because next year will be a whole different story!

Ps. While we are on the subject of appearance...

I realize I'm about due for an updated pregnancy photo, and I will admit that I have definitely been avoiding it. I feel like my body adjusted fairly well during my first pregnancy...but this time around I feel like I've already put on my fair share of extra poundage (and I still have over 3 months left). My husband keeps telling me that I look great, and I really was starting to believe him.

But then yesterday, a woman at church stated that I've grown significantly larger just in the last week...and while yes, she very well may have just been talking about my stomach, but the words "you are significantly larger" kept replaying in my head. (I know this person didn't mean to be offensive, it was just one of those things I was hoping no one else noticed).

What will you be wearing this holiday season?

  2. I was in the same boat with my second pregancy. All I ever heard with my first pregnancy was how small I was (and I had a 8lb baby) then the second pregnancy, all I heard was how big I was, how much bigger I was than last time, big, big, big. It was hard.. but here is the good news: my baby is almost a year and my body is back to normal! You will be yourself again, even if it doesn't seem like it now. :) I really enjoy your blog by the way!
