I Am Grateful For . . .

I often find myself taking life's everyday blessings for granted. Although sometimes it seems like the bad overpowers the good,  if I really take the time to stop and think about it, I have so many things to be grateful for in my life.

Of course one of the biggest blessings I have is my family and the older (and further away from them) I get the more I love and cherish my time with them. But, if I had to choose one thing that I was most grateful for, it would be the opportunity I have to be a mother. My little boy has been what I like to call the textbook definition of a "hard baby." Although he has grown out of the colic, and acid-reflux, we still go through some crazy days.

Lately, after he goes to bed, I reminisce with my husband about the little things (good or bad) that happened during the day. And even when I am telling him about my horrible trip to Walmart when I had to leave my cart in the middle of the isle and carry my screaming toddler out of the store while he knocks over and spills a whole can of lotion off of one of the display's...we have fun laughing about it together and it helps me realize how much I love him...even his wild personality!

What are you most grateful for?

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend!

  1. Loved this post and that picture! And if it matters at all, knowing you guys when you were going through the beginning months with Nolan even though things were probably hard and exhausting, it never showed. You always seemed so loving, patient, and put together!

P.S. Made the rolls today with success. That is huge for me. I love cooking and think I am decent but when it comes to baking I have some serious troubles. It did take me two tries with the rolls, but they finally came out and were yummmmmy!
