Abstract
My Husband and I have always had fun creating our own pieces of art for our home. We have come to the conclusion that abstract art is not only fun, it tends to work out in our favor because we don't have to be perfect artist to create something worth framing.
This is a piece my husband did that I love! We once again found a vintage frame at a local thrift store when we lived in Idaho. The frame already had a painting in it (which wasn't our particular taste), but my husband used the back side of the original painting to create his own work of art.
I love how the frame has a shabby chic feel, yet the painting is bold and contemporary. If any of you are thinking, I am definitely not artistic enough to create something wall worthy, try The Paint Splatter Technique. Use coordinating colors that you already have in a space and to compliment your existing decor, and of course have fun with it!
