Happy Friday!

Happy Friday Everyone!

This Lady looks like she has got someplace special to be...and although I just got back from a trip, I'm wishing I were in her shoes! It's funny how getting out of town can be so refreshing, yet it's always nice to come home.

Hope you have a great weekend, don't forget to do something fun, and possibly make some of THESE!

Inspiration Thursday: Color Pallet

My master bedroom is in dire need of a make over. So, I've been looking for some color inspiration to start. I'm beginning to lean towards a grey/yellow color pallet...

I'm also loving the color combination with this bed frame...

I'm worried that I may tire of the color combination...what do you think?
Is it too trendy?

Cinnamon Bear Popcorn

During my trip home to WA (just a week or so ago) my Mom kept raving about this cinnamon bear popcorn she had tried at my aunts house during spring break. I was a little skeptical about it but after she made up a batch I realized she was right (why are Mom's always right?)

I'm pretty sure I became addicted to it, because every time I walked past the kitchen, I couldn't help but take another heaping handful of the popcorn. I was glad there were a lot of people around who shared my same addiction...otherwise I may have devoured the whole bowl all by myself.

DIY Tuesday: Rose Frosting Technique

I love to find frosting techniques that look beautiful and intricate, but are actually very easy to create. This "rose flower" technique is just like that and has become one of my favorites (you can also find this technique over at I am baker)!

The other day I was able to make a birthday cake for a friend and was so excited to try this technique out! I decided to jazz things up a bit by alternating the flower colors with different hues of teal green.

On the way over to the birthday party I realized the cake would have looked awesome if I had some of those long sparkler candles...oh well, maybe next time!

Father's Day Ideas

Please tell me I'm not the only one that just realized this coming Sunday is Father's Day! I really should know better.

Here are a few of my favorite crafts and goodies that I think every Father would love!...

Homemade Belt Rack by Martha Stewart 9.Fast Food Fun by Bakerella

My Dad has always been incredibly hard to buy gifts for. Growing up, every time my siblings and I would ask him what he wanted for Christmas, birthday's, or Father's Day, he would always respond by saying..."all I want is service."

So, I have been giving my Dad service coupons for as long as I can remember and even though he doesn't always remember to use them, he loves to receive them!

If you like the idea of giving coupons this Father's Day, you may want to check out this sheet of printable coupons I created (just click on the image below, it will take you to Scribd where you can download or print the file.) Then, all you have to do cut them out, and fill in the bottom of the card with whatever type of service you want to give.
